To the Seniors:
Your senior year of high school can be one of the most exciting times in your life. I may have graduated high school a while ago (although I prefer not to talk about how long ago that was!), but I remember loving my senior year.
Your senior portraits are something special. You want to look gorgeous, have a fun time, and have stunning pictures to show off to all your friends. We'll work together to make that happen. I have lots of great ideas for poses and locations, and I more than welcome your input as well. If you see something you want just show me and we'll figure out how to make it work for you. I want you love your pictures and have a fantastic time taking them.
To the Parents:
This is such a special time in your child's life. Can you believe she's practically a grown-up? (Gulp!)
My philosophy is that it is extremely important to have the parent(s) involved in the senior portrait process, and not just for the payment! (Ha ha!) Even though your child is almost out on her own, she still needs and wants the guiding hand of her mother and/or father in this pivotal point in her life.
Talk to her about what clothing she wants to wear. Encourage her to pick outfits that reflect her style and capture the person she is today. Go together to get your nails done or hair fixed the day of the shoot. Grab a coffee or tea and spend some time together before the shoot talking about what she wants (from the shoot or from life!). Take actions to make this occasion special for both you and her. Because if you do, I guarantee it will be a memory she'll treasure for the rest of her life -- and perhaps share with her own daughter someday!
My style is fresh and clean, and I will only capture images of your child in a tasteful and classic manner. If you find my style and philosophy fit yours, I would love the chance to work with your family to create beautiful images that capture your child the way she is now in this amazing transitional time in her life.
P.S. While I refer to girls in the above text, I also love to work with guys! It was just easier to write all this without having to say he/she or son/daughter throughout the whole thing. :) I even offer a special package designed with Senior guys in mind: a simple, half-hour session with no muss and fuss. Just enough pictures to make Mom happy!
