About

I didn't even know I had a creative side until my 30s. Seriously. I was always the kid smart in math and all things numbers and never thought of myself as creative. Until we purchased our DSLR camera and I started learning how to use it (which is much more science-y and tech-y and much more up my alley) and then started having fun experimenting and learning how to be creative with photos.

I'm a people person and I love meeting families, getting to know them and working with them to create beautiful images they will cherish forever. I love working with the grumpy pre-teens who don't want to be there and finagling my way into getting a 1,000-watt smile before our time is up. I love strutting my stuff alongside the 5 year old diva who is so excited to have her photo taken that she can't sit still. I love playing peek-a-book with the 1 year old who is stranger-shy and getting her to trust me and open up so we can capture that smile that her mom knows and loves. Working with my families and building relationships and trust is the best part of what I do.

A few other bits about myself:

I’m a finance geek by trade. Very helpful in running a business.
I love to read and cook and bake. I try to make time for these activities whenever I can.
I make lots of lists, I write in bullets and am fluent in sarcasm.
